Best Man: Joshua Mervin
Josh and Roy met at Musicians Institute where they both attended school. Along with a misfit group of friends, the pair played together in variety of different bands. In addition to being bandmates and friends, they were also roommates who shared living quarters three separate times. During Roy's formative years in Los Angeles, Josh was a lifeline and mentor during highs and lows.
Roy recalls a time when Josh drove up north to play in a wedding. His Civic broke down by Hasley Canyon Road just outside of Castaic. It was early morning when he called Roy to see he could pick up some transmission fluid and bring it to him 30 miles away. The transmission fluid did little in the way of fixing the car that wouldn't get into gear, but the pair sat along the side of Interstate 5 musing over friendship, politics, relationships and life.
If you ask Josh to recall a story of their friendship, he's likely to tell you the story of how Roy drunkenly fell into a dumpster.

Groomsman: Jacob DuBois
Roy met Jacob through mutual friends from Maine who were attending CSUN with Jacob in 2003.
The two quickly hit it off once Roy discovered that they shared a common love for the film "Magnolia". In addition to fine cinema, Jacob and Roy were both Apple aficionados. Between music, cinema, and all things Apple the two of them just seemed to click.
Jacob hails from the Bay Area, and when Roy booked his first business trip to San Francisco (to attend WWDC of course), Jacob was to be his guide. The pair set off from LA one night, trading off the drivers seat a few times and eventually arriving at Jacob's parents house around 2am... needless to say, the DuBois family were not expecting Jacob and Roy, least of all at such an ungodly hour.
Jacob and Roy have been, roommates, teammates, and even co-workers for a time but above all the word best used to describe their relationship would be: Friend.

Groomsman: John DuBois
John visited his brother Jacob in Los Angeles in 2005, by this time Jacob and Roy were already friends and roommates. John was visiting to check out CSUN. A while later John would eventually move in with Jacob and Roy (and for a brief period of time Josh as well).
John waited in line for hours with Roy in June of 2007 for the very first iPhone, which subsequently became tradition for a few other product launches. Conversations would skew from gadgetry and into what the future might look like, and what problems and opportunities lie ahead for humanity. These talks not only affirmed their shared belief in Humanism, but also strengthened their friendship.
